Before we arrive, it would be helpful if you could do a couple of things in preparation!

 

Please move items from the mantel piece and hearth, remove any un-burnt fuel on the fire.

 

It is important to allow the chimney to cool for at least 12 hours before sweeping, as sweeping a hot chimney can be very dangerous!

 

We will do our utmost to ensure there will be no mess, but there is always a small chance that a small amount of soot could escape, particularly if there is a large amount of soot to remove. We would advise you move any furniture or delicate objects from around the fireplace.

 

We will need access to a live socket for our vacuum, and space for a hearth sheet and equipment.
